Will my payment be secure?

Next Campers uses a secure payment processing partner, Windcave (previously known as Payment Express), to handle all guest transactions, so you can be sure your payment information remains confidential.

 

Making a deposit

The first step towards your New Zealand Campervan holiday is providing a 25% deposit to confirm your booking (with the remaining balance due 40 days prior to pick-up).

Our team is available to help with any changes to your booking, but keep in mind that increasing your length of hire is subject to availability and will be calculated based on the current booking rate on the date you request any changes (so it may be different from your initial rate).

 

How is my bond managed?

Unlike most other motorhome rental providers, your bond (excess) amount won’t be placed as a hold or deducted from your card on file, so you won’t have to worry about the extra investment up front.

What types of payment are accepted?

You can pay the deposit with VISA or Mastercard, the final payment can also be paid by debit cards or by using a bank transfer (contact us for bank transfer account details). Please be aware that either method may incur bank fees.

All payments to Next Campers are accepted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), and a non-refundable administration fee will be applied to credit card transactions (3% for VISA or Mastercard).

All prices quoted include GST (Goods and Services Tax) as required by law in New Zealand.

 

Can I add an additional driver to my booking?

Next Campers has no added fees for additional drivers. In fact, we encourage you to take turns driving so both have a chance to experience the wonderful scenery that NZ has to offer.

All intended drivers must be at least 18 years old and recorded on the rental agreement for insurance cover. You can add the name and driver's licence details of the additional drivers before arrival (when filling out the booking form) or when collecting the Campervan. All drivers need to have a full, current licence (the original and not a copy) and a translation or an International Driving Permit (IDP) for licences in languages other than English. Don’t forget to pack your licence with your passport.

 

What happens If I need to cancel my booking?

We get it—sometimes things don’t work out, even with careful planning. If you have to cancel your hire after you have made your booking and paid your deposit, here’s a breakdown of what to expect per our cancellation policy:

What’s included in my daily hire rate?

At Next Campers we like to be transparent about our pricing. 

We want you to get the best value for your money, so we have combined all the fees, charges and tax into the daily hire rate. Please have a look at our All Inclusive Package to find out what's included in your rental.

 

What is a “Road User Charge"?

Our Road User Charge Recovery Fee (RUC) helps offset the NZ government tax on diesel vehicles.  It is based on actual kilometres travelled. Your RUC is payable at the end of your hire.

 

What happens if I receive an infringement?

Any infringements received for an offence committed during your period of hire are your responsibility, including speeding, toll road, parking, and freedom camping offences.

If you receive a ticket directly, we encourage you to pay it as soon as possible and provide proof of payment to our team when you return your Campervan.

If we receive the ticket on your behalf, we will contact you with the details on how to pay the ticket and also charge an additional administration fee of 25 NZD.
